Welcome to the Inaugural Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge!

Visit Jacksonville has teamed up with JaxParks to bring you the Inaugural Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge! The Challenge will take you to many JaxParks as well as some of Jacksonville’s most interesting historic and cultural locations.  There will be a variety of caches to find, something for beginner cachers to experienced cachers.

JaxParks consists of almost 400 parks and recreational spaces, making it the largest urban park system in the country. Visit Jacksonville is the official tourism office for Jacksonville and promotes the area to potential visitors. #Onlyinjax

The Kickoff Event for the 2018 Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge will be held at the Cecil Field Community Center at the Taye’ B. Brown Regional Park on Saturday, September 1, 2018, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The rules of the Challenge will be explained and the paper Passports geocachers will use to record their journey will be distributed at that time. GC7QEC9-2018 Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge Kickoff will take you to the Geocaching Event page for more information. Please post your Will Attend if you plan to be there.

New this year, the first 150 geocachers to complete the Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge will receive a beautiful, trackable geocoin.

This year’s verification process will continue to use a passport, and each cache log will have a stamp and stamp pad. You’ll need to record 25 out of 30 geocaches on your passport (and all the stamps must be on one passport) to qualify for your coin.

You can pick your coin up at REI in Jacksonville by taking your completed 2018 Jacksonville Geocaching Challenge Passport to the front desk for verification.
